Recently, the Palembang waste-to-energy incineration project in Indonesia, for which Huaxi Energy is responsible for supplying boiler equipment, achieved a key milestone – the successful hoisting of the No. 2 boiler's steam drum, marking the project's official entry into the main boiler installation phase. As a core component of the power plant boiler, the steam drum was independently designed and manufactured by the company, strictly adhering to international quality standards. The successful hoisting of the steam drum lays the foundation for subsequent engineering work.
The Palembang project in Indonesia is the country's first waste-to-energy incineration project and the first of its kind undertaken by a Chinese company under a presidential decree issued by the Indonesian government in 2018. It has attracted significant attention since its inception. The project processes 1,000 tons of waste per day and is designed and built entirely to Chinese standards. It is equipped with incinerators, waste heat boilers, steam turbine generator sets, and environmental protection systems to meet local emission requirements. Upon completion, it will generate over 130 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, effectively alleviating the pressure on Palembang's municipal solid waste disposal and setting a new benchmark for waste resource utilization.
As a leading domestic energy equipment supplier, the company has further solidified its professional image in the overseas waste-to-energy sector through the successful installation of this steam drum and the previous hydrostatic test of Boiler No. 1.
