On November 20, 2025, a promotional training event themed "From the Heart to Action: The 'New Trend' of Waste Sorting" was warmly held in Jinshan Village, Chini Town. Concurrently, the Bazhang Neighborhood Committee also hosted the "Chini Town Waste Sorting Promotion Campaign." These two events, like a refreshing green trend, deeply rooted the seeds of waste sorting in the hearts of residents, aiming to collectively transform waste sorting from a "new trend" into a "good habit.".
At the event site, the atmosphere was lively, and a thirst for knowledge was palpable. The professional lecturer delivered a systematic and engaging explanation of the key points and challenges of the "Four-Category Method" for household waste classification using simple and vivid language. "Used batteries are considered hazardous waste and must be accurately disposed of in red bins; vegetable leaves, fruit peels, and leftover food are kitchen waste and should be drained of moisture; recyclables such as newspapers and plastic bottles should remain clean and dry; while contaminated plastic bags, paper towels, and similar items fall under other waste categories..." The lecturer patiently elaborated on these points and analyzed common real-life confusion scenarios, making the complex classification standards clear, straightforward, and easy to grasp.
Residents listened attentively or actively asked questions, deepening their understanding of garbage classification through interactive communication. I used to think it was troublesome and couldn't distinguish clearly, but after listening to the explanation, I realized that this' trouble 'was for the greater convenience of our environment! "Exclaimed a resident who participated in the event. During the event, the staff also distributed a total of 70 carefully prepared garbage classification brochures and promotional materials to residents. This small guide will become a powerful assistant for residents in their daily lives, making precise delivery within reach.
It is reported that this event attracted a total of 100 residents to participate on-site, and the publicity coverage affected 135 people. This is not only a transmission of knowledge, but also a mobilization of civilization. It profoundly enlightens us that garbage classification is not an empty slogan, it requires each and every one of us to recognize its value from the depths of our hearts, and see it as a responsibility to the environment and a commitment to the future.
Starting from the heart "is to establish a firm belief in green environmental protection; Practice in action "means integrating faith into every little effort of daily life. When we accurately deliver garbage, we are contributing to the cleanliness and beauty of the community and the recycling of resources. Let's take active action, starting from ourselves and our families, to make garbage classification a trend in Chi Ni Town. Let's work together to paint a vivid picture of a bluer sky, clearer water, and more beautiful home!
