Trash Bin Classification

Oct 12, 2022

With the continuous improvement of people's awareness of environmental protection, as well as the successful experience of some developed countries in garbage classification, and the national attention in this regard, the emergence of classified garbage cans has been promoted. In October 2003, the state issued the Classification Mark of Urban Domestic Waste. According to the unified mark formulated by the State, domestic waste is divided into four categories, namely recyclable waste, kitchen waste, hazardous waste and other waste.

Recyclable garbage: mainly including waste paper, plastic, glass, metal and cloth.

Waste paper: mainly including newspapers, periodicals, books, various packaging papers, office paper, advertising paper, paper boxes, etc., but pay attention to paper towels and toilet paper, which are too water-soluble to be recycled.

Plastic: mainly including various plastic bags, plastic packaging, disposable plastic lunch boxes and tableware, toothbrushes, cups, mineral water bottles, toothpaste covers, etc.

Glass: mainly including various glass bottles, broken glass pieces, mirrors, bulbs, etc.

Fabric: mainly including discarded clothes, tablecloths, face towels, school bags, shoes, etc.

Metal objects: mainly including cans, cans, etc.

Kitchen waste: including food waste such as leftovers, bones, vegetable roots, leaves, peel, etc., which can be composted on the spot through biotechnology, and 0.3 tons of organic fertilizer can be produced per ton.

Domestic garbage: including garbage from kitchen, living room and toilet.

Hazardous wastes: including waste batteries, waste fluorescent tubes, waste mercury thermometers, expired drugs, etc., which need special safe treatment.

Other wastes: including bricks, tiles, ceramics, dregs, toilet paper, paper towels and other wastes that are difficult to recycle except for the above-mentioned wastes. Sanitary landfill can effectively reduce the pollution to groundwater, surface water, soil and air.
